We started in 2021, first making handmade jewelry and accessories, but soon discovered our true passion, crochet. What began as a few pieces made by our family slowly grew into a beautiful collaboration with more than 30 talented crochet artists across Thailand. 

We create a mix of colorful hand-crocheted pieces such as bags, dolls, flowers, character designs, hanging plants, hats, and more. Every design is made with care, and we work closely with our artists to match colors and styles so each piece has its own unique charm and personality.

Our process isn’t fast or factory-made. It’s slow, thoughtful, and full of heart. Each artist works from home, setting their own pace and prices, often while caring for family or contributing to their local community. For many, especially seniors or artists from smaller villages, this work brings not only income but also pride, joy, and connection when they see their creations loved around the world.

Now based in California, we bring our shop to life through weekend pop-ups and local events, sharing our artists’ handmade treasures with our community. Behind the scenes, we still balance full-time jobs, spending evenings and weekends building this dream together, one stitch, one smile, and one story at a time.

Kwanjai is the Thai word for Sweet Heart and can also be used for "from the bottom of my heart". It is named after my parent's clothing store in Phayao, Thailand.

This is Kwanjai Phayao clothing store. This is my papa and my mom. They have both been operating this shop since 1993 and are currently still open. This photo took on January 24, 2024. I miss and love my papa and mom so much. I'm so proud to be their daughter.
